About Us
Texas Christian Preschools is a family-founded early childhood education program serving the Brownsville community for more than 40 years. We provide high-quality, faith-based care for infants through school-age children with a focus on safety, loving relationships, joyful learning, and school readiness.
As a 4-Star Texas Rising Star center and Texas School Ready certified program, we follow research-based practices that support children’s growth academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Every classroom is designed to be warm, structured, and engaging so children feel known, supported, and excited to learn each day.

Our History
Texas Christian Preschools began in 1981 as a small home daycare called Little Cowboys Learning Center, founded by early childhood educator Adela Rodriguez. With dedication, innovation, and a heart for children, Adela grew the program into one of Brownsville’s most trusted childcare centers.
Her daughter, Eileen Rodriguez, continued developing the center through quality enhancement work with the State of Texas, ultimately expanding into multiple locations and transitioning the organization into what is now Texas Christian Preschools.
For more than four decades, our family has been committed to providing safe, faith-filled, high-quality childcare to the families of Brownsville — and today, we proudly serve the children of former students.
